What is PrivTTS?

PrivTTS turns text into natural-sounding speech, entirely on your device. No account, no cloud processing — nothing you write or import ever leaves your phone. Paste or type text, or import a document (TXT, DOCX, RTF, or text-based PDF), then listen.

Does PrivTTS require an account?

No. PrivTTS has no login, no sign-up, and no account of any kind.

Does PrivTTS work offline?

Yes. All speech synthesis runs on-device using local neural text-to-speech models — no internet connection is required to use the app once it's installed.

What file types can I import?

TXT, DOCX, RTF, and text-based PDF files, selected via the standard iOS document picker.

Is my text or documents ever uploaded anywhere?

No. See our Privacy Policy for the full details — in short, PrivTTS has no server, so there is nowhere for your content to be sent even if it wanted to.

How do I request a refund or manage a subscription?

Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through Apple. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or visit reportaproblem.apple.com for refund requests.
